Traditionally on this day the Foundation of Saint Andrew the First-Called with support from “Istoki” Fund hold “The Day of Children and Parental Happiness” Festival where they unite The Children’s Day with honoring the two Russian saints – Euphrosyne of Moscow and her husband Grand Prince Dmitry Donskoy who raised 12 children. On June 1, the Russian Orthodox Church honors these saint people. This year it is impossible to organize an outdoor festival due to Covid restrictions, but let’s remember how it used to be!
On June 1, 2019 “The Day of Children and Parental Happiness” Festival was held at the city embankment in Yaroslavl. The Festival’s program included “a walking quest”, workshops, competitions, an award ceremony for large families and a concert.
